Abstract
The coastal demersal copepod Pseudodiaptomus has been repeatedly reported from Australian and surrounding southern Indo-West Pacific waters. At present, 13 species are known from this region, five of which are new: P. australiensis, P. griggae, P. hypersalinus, P. inflexus and P. occidentalus. These 13 species are representative of four species groups. Several of these species have been previously misidentified and are herein synonymized with the new species. The zoogeography of these species is discussed and a key is presented.
