Abstract
The lesser or curled octopus Eledone cirrhosa was only known from Belgian waters from a single find in 1934. Since 2015 two more findings have been reported. This note reports on two extra strandings in November 2020 and four specimens together on the beach in July 2021. Though the latter is a strange case, possibly due to recreational fishery, thespecies seems to be moving into the southern North Sea.
