Abstract
We present the first record of the land snail family Strobilopsidae from the continental Neogene of Burgos, Castile and León, Spain. Due to the scarcity of taxonomic and stratigraphic information on this family in Europe, we assign the studied specimens to Eostrobilops cf. dollfusi (Collot, 1911) based on their conchological features. This species was originally described from the Middle/Late Miocene of France. Furthermore, a brief review about the taxonomy and paleobiogeography of Strobilopsidae in Europe is provided.
