Zooplankton abundance and individual size data were generated using the ZooScan imaging system during research cruises in the Baltic Sea conducted on 23–25 August 2016 and 28–29 August 2024. Sampling in 2016 took place within the Lithuanian and Latvian Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs), while the 2024 sampling was carried out exclusively in the Lithuanian EEZ. In total, 50 zooplankton samples were collected and analysed. The sampling campaigns were conducted as part of the Lithuanian Research Council RETRO project and the EU HORIZON MarBEFES project.
