Description:
    Comparatively, sandy beach ecology has poorly contributed to the mainstream of ecology since the first significant studies were published in the 60’s and 70’s. The intention of the present symposium will be linked with appreciating and increasing the contribution of the research on sandy beaches to the current ecological framework.

    The focus of the IV Sandy Beaches Symposium will be Ecology of sandy beaches, mainly including:

    - Community and population ecology
    - Ecological interactions
    - Behaviour
    - Biogeography
    - Focus on beach management

    Moreover, one of the main objectives of this meeting is to provide an appropriate atmosphere and numerous opportunities to interact with colleagues and friends. Opening sessions, oral and poster presentations will take place at the Centro Social Caixanova, which harbour modern facilities to cover every need in symposium events.
