Data from the qualitative and quantitative study of the biocenosis of benthic foraminifera in different sites of the Balearic littoral. meer

PhD thesis Abril, A. M.: Benthic foraminifera of the Balearic coast and its biological activity in the Posidonia ecosystem. Universitat de les Illes Balears, 700 p. The data correspond to samples of P. oceanica leaves collected during spring and summer 1989. It is part of a longer sample series which include surveys during spring, summer, autumn and winter from 1989 to 1991. Sampling method: collection made by scuba divers. The leaves and rhizomes of P. oceanica were subjected to an osmotic shock for 24h to extract the attached foraminifera.
