Abstract
    Numerous specimens of adults and juveniles of Actinarctus doryphorus have been found in a coarse coralligenous detritus of the Secche della Meloria in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The authors discuss the original description enriching it with some morphological details and give new information about the biology of the species.
