| Abstract |
The article describes a number of observations, made in Belgian waters or on Belgian beaches during 2004 and 2005, of animals, which are considered rare or uncommon in the southern North Sea and Belgian waters in particular. The following species were encountered by fishermen, or by beachcombers: Scyliorhinus canicula, Argyrosomus regius, Hippocampus hippocampus, Blennius gattorugine, Spinachia spinachia, Crenilabrus melops, Crenilabrus bailloni, Salmo salar, Atherina presbyter, Zeus faber, Balistes carolinensis, Mola mola, Patella ulissiponensis, Teredo navalis, Sabellaria alveolata, Megabalanus tintinnabulum, Callinectes sapidus and Lepas anatifera |
