| Abstract |
Unlike other spp ofLittorina that presents during the year a long period of sexual rest, illustrated by the regression of genital glands, accessory glands, and penis of the male, L. saxatilis is known to have reproduction the whole year. It is demonstrated that many populations have an important regression of sexual activity in summer, and that this fact is correlated with the local ecological factors. This must have a repercussion on the densities of populations. |
