| Abstract |
Study of a small collection of New Zealand benthic myodocopid Ostracoda reveals four new species in the genera Melavargula, Vargula and Cypridinodes. Discovery of a male Metavargula facilitates the redefinition of the genus. Confusion over the identity of New Zealand species of Cycloleberis is discussed. The new species are described and illustrated, and supplementary descriptions are presented of two previously described species. Keys are presented to all benthic myodocopid Ostracoda that have been reported from the vicinity of New Zealand. |
