Abstract
This review paper deals with the nemertean fauna of the Sea of Japan, which is comprised of 100 species. Only 23 species have been recorded for the western coast of Japan, whereas 86 nemertean species are known for the north-western Sea of Japan. A biogeographical analysis of nemerteans of Peter the Great Bay shows that low-boreal (64%) and subtropical-lowboreal (20%) species are predominant. Data on the distribution of nemerteans by substrates and depths are presented. The patterns of reproduction and development of some species are briefly outlined.
